EFFUSION MOTIVATE, an attitudinal and behavioral life coaching group that focuses on re-energizing young people through capacity building programs to bring about transformational change, has organized the maiden WOMAN 2.1 Summit under the theme, “Divulging The Power Of The 21st Century Woman, A New Mandate For Excellence.”
WOMAN 2.1 Summit is an international entrepreneurial summit designed to create a platform for 21st century women to build their capacities and to receive inspiration from other women and men who have excelled in their fields of endeavour.
Using insightful tools, the summit focused on the abilities of undergraduate women, working class women and other women in senior positions to develop strong cross-sector professional strategies through the creation of successful alliances and enduring partnerships and mentorships.
The summit, which was held at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi from 30th to 31st October, 2009, attracted hundreds of students from various tertiary institutions in the country and individuals from corporate organizations across the country.
Speakers were drawn from Ghana and the United States to speak on various topics, ranging from personal branding and reinvention, transferable global skills, social media strategies, career development, entrepreneurship and beauty master keys.
According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Effusion Motivate, Benjamin Gregory Aggrey, the summit was aimed at deepening women's knowledge and insight about their God-given potentials, corporate dynamics and success strategies.
The summit, he noted, was also aimed at inspiring a sense of greater vision, spiritual enrichment, personal leadership and achievement by facilitating opportunities for career building, collaboration and partnerships among women across different fields and disciplines.
He said, “As a result of the incredible success recorded during this summit, follow up summits dubbed, “WOMAN 2.1 Round Tables” would be held early next in Ghana and Nigeria.”
