Sunyani, (B/A), Nov. 4, GNA - The Divine Christian Outreach International, a religious group based in the United States of America, on Wednesday donated medical items worth 70,000 dollars to the Regional Hospital in Sunyani.
The items included nasal plungs, oxygen administration mask tubes, eye operation equipment and drugs.
Dr Daniel Asare, Medical Superintendent in charge of the Hospital who received the items thanked the donors for the gesture.
He noted that the items would greatly help the health facility in its quality health care delivery.
Pastor Tomie Brown, President of the Divine Christian Outreach International said the group was determined to promote the health needs of Ghanaians, especially the rural communities.
Meanwhile, the Sunyani Municipal Assembly has also donated 250 bags of cement to the Hospital towards the construction of an apartment for mortuary attendants.
