Vodafone Ghana has launched the fastest consumer broadband service in Ghana and West Africa with six new packages.

High-speed 4MB broadband is now available in certain areas of Accra and would be rolled out in new areas in the coming months.

The speed is 4 to 31 times faster than existing speeds available in Ghanaian homes.

4MB would allow super fast streaming and downloading of movies, internet browsing, video calls and instant music downloads.

Installation had been reduced by 45 percent with free-for -three of the packages as well as free Wi-Fi.

Benjamin Kwadjo Dzreh, the Broadband Manager of Vodafone said, “This is a massive change for broadband users in Ghana because the speed and experience is incredible.

“Customers said magic happened to their Vodafone broadband connection when it was upgraded to 4MB.

“Not only have we increased the speed by 4 - 31 times, we have also reduced the installation fee to GH 55 or free depending on the package.”

He noted that the company was proud to launch the product in the country, noting that all broadband users both new and existing customers of the company would have high speed broadband services.

The new packages are in line with Vodafone's strategy to deliver high-speed broadband services to Ghanaians while reducing the cost of the set-up.
