
The Northern Regional Director of Information Service Department ISD, Alex Ibrahim, has called on Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of the Department not to involve themselves in politics and Chieftaincy issues. This way, they can carry out their duties efficiently with the cooperation of all persons in their Districts.
Mr. Ibrahim made the call at a meeting of Regional, Metropolitan and District Directors of Information Services Department in Tamale. Mr. Ibrahim reminded the Directors that the department's vision is to establish a responsive two-way channel of communication between government and the people to proactively assist government's investment promotion and development Programme.
He called for teamwork among all staff and urged them to be disciplined and dedicated to work. The Directors appealed for in-service training to improve their skills. They also asked for enough funds to implement policies and programmes in their respective Districts.
