Kofi Boakye is a happy man. He's just gotten his job back as a senior police officer after almost three years on interdiction. He's not completely off the hook, though. A service enquiry is to be instituted to investigate his conduct, which resulted in the recommendation by the Georgina Woode Committee that he should be prosecuted.
When the news about his reinstatement was confirmed, he told my colleagues in the Joynewsroom that he wanted to have a chat with me.
He was quite friendly when I got on the line.
That was quite surprising considering what I've heard some of his friends say about how he feels about me and all the things I've said about (and against) him. Our chat lasted just under two minutes but there is something cooking... So, for now, I am withholding all my comments on the decision to reinstate him...
