A new Electronic Toll Collection System introduced by the Ministry of Roads and Highways will become operational from Tuesday September 1st. Under the new system, all vehicles will be expected to pay for the use of the motorway.
A statement in Accra said only vehicles which belong to the Armed Forces, Police Service and diplomatic missions will be exempted from payment of tolls. Others are government and mission hospitals, ambulances and the Ghana Red Cross Society.
