In the night of August 24, while the wife was asleep in their bedroom at Wamfie, the suspect picked a kitchen knife and stabbed her on the neck without any provocation.

The Prosecutor said Anane realizing that the wife was dead bolted to an unknown destination but the next day he went to a nearby village and surrendered himself to one Kwame Alata, who being aware of the hunt for him, took him to the Police at Wamfie.
