Tagor, Abbas acquitted and discharged

Accra, July 24, GNA – Kwabena Amaning, alias Tagor, and Alhaji Issah Abass, who were convicted on drug charges by a Fast Track High Court on November 28, 2007, were on Friday acquitted and discharged by the Court of Appeal.
The Fast Track High Court presided over by Mr Justice Jones Victor Dotse had found Tagor guilty for conspiracy, engaging in prohibited business relating to narcotic drugs.
He was, however, acquitted and discharged for buying and supplying narcotic drugs.
The Fast Track High Court had also found Abass, 56, guilty for conspiracy and engaging in prohibited business relating to narcotic drugs.
He was, however, acquitted and discharged on charges of supplying narcotic drugs.
