  Sun, 14 Jun 2009

Osiem (E/R), June 14, GNA- Opanin Abraham Kwaku Adusei, General Superintendent of the Saviour Church of Ghana (SCG), has appealed to the Ministry of Education to assist the mission to set up an educational unit to run its schools.

Opanin Adusei, who made the appeal during an interaction with newsmen at the church's headquarters at Osiem near Tafo in the Eastern Region at the weekend, said this would ensure effective monitoring and supervision of the schools.

He said the SCG was not only concerned with the spiritual well-being of members, but also with their physical welfare hence its decision to construct a hospital at Osiem, to cater for the health needs of the people.

Opanin Adusei said the first phase of the hospital, to be named Hawa Memorial Saviour Hospital, was built at the estimated cost of five million Ghana Cedis and would soon be inaugurated.

The General Superintendent urged Ghanaians to endeavour to be each other's keeper.

He advised the youth to engage in profitable ventures, and guard against social vices that would ruin their lives.

Opanin Adusei advised politicians to unite to ensure the prosperity of the country, adding that while government should accept constructive criticisms, the critics should also offer alternatives to help solve some of the problems facing the people.
