Vodafone's promotion in Tarkwa, which started on Tuesday, ended up in a brawl between its workers and that of Tigo.
According to onlookers most of the workers of Vodafone were found pasting their posters on that of Tigo's, replacing the umbrellas given to the retailers by Tigo with that of Vodafone and taking the Tigo umbrellas away.
This resulted in a serious argument between Vodafone and Tigo workers who heard of Vodafone's action later.
When the GNA interviewed some of the retailers, they said, they did not understand why the workers of Tigo were going round demanding their umbrellas.
According to them they were aware that almost all the mobile phone networks in Tarkwa provided umbrella, adding, if the management of Tigo needs its umbrella they should go to Vodafone.
When the GNA contacted the management of both networks for their version, they refused comment.
