The ex-pump prices of petrol and diesel would have upward adjustment Wednesday in line with increase in crude oil price on the world market.
Petrol would be increased by 10% whilst diesel goes up by 2%.
By this margin, a gallon of petrol would be sold at GH¢3.86 and diesel, GH¢3.90.
The prices have already been agreed upon by the Oil Marketing Companies and the National Petroleum Authority and would be confirmed later today before they take effect at the pumps from Wednesday..
The increase is the first in this year and the highest for petrol since the government intervened to mitigate the impact of high fuel prices at the height of the energy crisis last year.
