The Reverend Otuo Acheampong, Chairperson of the Asante Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), has implored Christians to endeavour to let their lifestyles reflect their Christian values, norms and beliefs.
This, he said, would go a long way in sharpening their thinking and deeds to enable unbelievers appreciate godliness in whatever they do.
Rev Acheampong was speaking at the inauguration of a sanitary complex built by the Bantama Peyer Memorial Presbyterian congregation in Kumasi on Sunday.
The complex comprises toilets, urinal and bath houses and it cost several thousands of Ghana cedis.
He cautioned Christians to be wary of going to church too much at the expense of abiding by what the Bible teaches.
“The act of going to church regularly is good in itself however, we must be more conscious of putting into practice what the Holy Book says if we are to achieve our aims and objectives to be sons of God”.
The Presbytery Chairperson urged church leaders to invest in the propagation of the gospel to help reduce the high rate of immorality and social vices in the society, especially among the youth.
The Rev Peter Kofi Nyarko, the Bantama District Minister of the church, expressed the hope that the edifice would help to enhance sanitation at the church premises and therefore called on members to take good care of the facilities.
