The Nsawam District Magistrate Court, on Thursday remanded Francis Nkrumah, a 34 year-old Manager of Top Express and Micro Financial Services in prison custody for fraud.
Francis, whose plea was not taken would reappear on March 31.
Prosecuting, Police Inspector Anthony Oppong told the court presided over by Justice Wilberforce Albert Mensah that Francis who resides at Kasoa in the Central Region and operates Susu (savings)financial services at Nsawam, succeeded in defrauding his customers to the sum of 15,000 Ghana cedis.
He said the accused who closed down his office and went into hiding was arrested at Nsawam and was charged with the offence.
