The Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (AITI-KACE) in collaboration with Accra Linux User Group is organising the international “Software Freedom Day” 2008 . This year's celebrations will be held in over 65 countries across the globe on 20th September 2008. The objectives of “Software Freedom Day” is to promote public awareness and use of free and open source software.
AITI-KACE in conjunction with the Association of Ghana Industry (AGI) is organizing a press conference at Center's conference room to inform and the general public about the activities of the Software Freedom Day, on Friday, 19 September, 2008 at 10:00 am.
The Press Conference would also be used to launch this year's AITI-KACE innovation week 2008 on the theme: ICT Innovation – with Open Source & Mobile Content.
