The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited has launched its annual Safety Week Celebrations in Kumasi under the theme “Safety Pays”.
The event took place at the Paa Joe Park on the campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) after a long walk through some principal streets in Kumasi.
At the launch, the Internal Control Manager, Mr. Willie Adjei, re-iterated the need for Ghanaians and the workforce of companies to be safety conscious and as such, the nation stands to gain if its human resource is adequately protected against unforeseen accidents.
Representatives from the Ghana National Fire Service, Environmental Protection Agency, TopTec Driving Company commended Coca-Cola for its impressive up to date policies and record on safety.
The week long celebrations kicked-off with fun games on Saturday August 23, 2008 with the awards night slated for Friday August, 29, 2008.
