CHRISTIANISE ME IF YOU CAN, BUT DONT WESTERNISE ME. - By: J.J. Rawlings
Thank God, Chairman Rawlings has realized the N.D.C is suffering from numerous issues especially in the financial arena. They corrupted our economy by selling to themselves Industries like Nsawam Cannery, G.N.T.C, State Fishing Corporation among which were sold to wives of former Ministers and many others in the country. He actually made this revelation when he visited the Brong Ahafo Region on his last minute campaign tour in the country. As a matter of fact, over 314 state corporations were sold without any account.

"This is our last hope and if we refuse to vote the NPP out of power, we would all continue to wallow in abject poverty," he added. Mr. Rawlings said the false propaganda peddled against the NDC by the NPP could not affect the fortunes of the party in the December elections, stressing "because of fear of prosecution the NPP is finding means to rig the elections". Said by Jerry Rawlings

In fact, they never taught about Ghanaians of which led to their surprise exit from power. Did I hear their former coup maker talked about a last chance for Ghanaians because the N.P.P's so called poverty imposed on Ghanaians? I strongly believe the N.D.C has squandered the money the Party stole from the country's sale of industries and shares from GHACEM, GHANA TELECOM and many others. Ghanaians have in fact, made their candid choice and have therefore chosen the N.P.P to run the affairs of the country till a replacement is found in the future and possibly NOT the National Democratic Congress.

Even though, the New Patriotic Party has put in place good polices as against their total lack of transparency specially during the sale of Ghana Telecom shares in 1997 where Hon. Albert Salia, the then Minister responsible for the sector, he blatantly told Parliament and Ghanaians for that matter that, the deal has been completed of it being debated in parliament. We have learnt our lessons and will never give them any opportunity to rule this endowed economy again.

Mr Rawlings and 'his' NDC have easily forgotten how they made away with the nation's assets and managed the nation during their reign, and now condems every
'move' by the current administration ! No doubt, the NDC will forever be in oppostion - a new party will emerge ,which will lead the nation in future for awhile.

You can say what you want about President J.J. Rawlings, But give him the credit for bringing Ghana back to glory after UP, MATE MEHO, PP, NPP sponsored coup de'tat against Dr Nkrumah, which send Ghana down the slope till we reached the bottom. Their foriegn friends who helped them stop Ghana's progress and leadership in Africa did nothing to help them bring Ghana back untill President Rawlings came to power and reverse the negative development of Ghana. For this I will always be grateful to him and will respect him for his concern for the poor and his love for Ghana and Africa
