Zumdick For Stars Job

INFORMATION AVAILABLE to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS reveals that German trainer Ralf Zumdick is leading a pack of top coaches currently in contention for the Black Stars coaching job.

The former Kotoko coach, sources indicated, was in the good books of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) with regard to who could best handle the Black Stars.

Zumdick, the sources indicated, was in constant talks with top gurus of the GFA and the two parties would reach a deal in no time.

Despite being pushed to the wall by a Kumasi based radio station, the Borrusia Dortmund trainer said he would not comment on the matter; at least not now.

However, he admitted that he always had fond memories of Ghana and its people and would be very pleased to work in the country in future.

The Black Stars coaching position had been vacant since Frenchman Claude Le Roy vacated his post.

The GFA had been in talks with various top coaches, including former French international Jean Tigana, in an effort to find a replacement but all to no avail.

Recently there were reports that the GFA would announce Ghana's next coach latest by the end of July 2008, but top guns of the FA insisted that it could not be possible following high demands by the coaches they were talking to.

If GFA is thinking of appointing former coach again for the stars then i think ,the itelian coach DOUSINA is the rigth coach for the job. Secondly fousing back after senegal 92, Ghana has charge about 32 coaches, some are local and other(foreign). How many cupes won so far? none Last not the least, Going through the history of ghana football, Ghana is 4times african champion, which coaches handle stars for that trophes. it´s local or foreigne. GFA should plan well and give our local coach...
