Gold Fields Ghana Limited (GFGL) has donated curtains, bed sheets and three crates of soft drinks and handed over hand-dug well valued at GH¢13,000 to Angels of Hope Orphanage at a ceremony at Tarkwa.
Presenting the items Mr Stephen Yirenkyi, Community Affairs and Public Relations Manager, GFGL, said the well was sunk in response to the request made by a care taker of the orphanage, Madam Yaa Frimpomaa.
He said GFGL would continue to provide materials and cash for the upkeep of the babies and children, saying, “The plight of the children is not their faults but the wickedness of their parents”.
Madam Frimpomaa thanked GFGL for the donation, adding, “apart from the donation, the company occasionally donates food items and cash to the orphanage”.
