Nana Kwaku Bonsam, the Akomadan-Afrancho based fetish priest on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu 11, Asantehene, at Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
He presented two rams and Schnapps to the Asantehene and GH¢1,000 to support the Otumfuo Education Fund.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu urged him to use his powers to support the development of the region and the nation as a whole.
Addressing the media after the call, Nana Bonsam said he had nothing against Christians and Christianity in general and appealed to pastors who called at radio stations to attack him to stop that practice.
He urged them to concentrate on the propagation of the Gospel and salvation.
Nana Bonsam said Christianity and traditional religion were forms of worship and it was not necessary for people to create an impression that he was against God.
He noted that the mentioning of the name of God during libation was a clear manifestation of his support and allegiance to the almighty God who listened to mankind irrespective of their religion.

Nana Kwaku Bonsam, we need more people like you. We seems to have forgotten our own cultural awareness, values and norms.Have had a few visions. The message is simply that religion is created as another way to manage, command and control people. However like you said the almighty doesn't bother about any religon, rather about the goodness in people.
Furthermore a message that i needed to pas on to us. As long as we respect the almighty as the almighy we can worship in any way we want, giving our way of worship a name (which is called religion) we please.
If we all look clearly we as Ghanaians (our ancient believes, norms and values) was based on spiritualism (our religion if i may say so, through invaders we have adopted the values and norms of those invaders to become ours some time BC. I will give you more info and facts on this matter in future).
Our way and view on spiritualism is that we believe in the almighty (the one and only that is bigger / more powerful than ourselfs) and that we can do the things we do because we are part of him and there for posses the powers of the almighty, whom christians call GOD. Moslims call Allah, and so are many othernames given to the almighty.
So I would say why the noise on what is better if we all worship the same and only one? But do it in our own way???
So Kwaku Bonsam, bring your knowledge to more of us, since that is our true culture when it comes to believe. I am interested and so should many more Ghanaians.
