Late Sunday evening, a passenger bus owned by OA Transport Services, traveling from Accra to Techiman, caught fire unexpectedly near Nsawam on the Accra-Kumasi highway.
The sudden incident, which left passengers deeply shaken, has sparked growing frustration with OA Transport Services, especially over concerns about lost personal belongings.
Initial reports indicate that the bus, carrying numerous passengers, departed Accra around 9 p.m. for the overnight journey to Techiman in the Bono East region. Despite the frightening ordeal, all passengers managed to evacuate safely, and no casualties were reported.
In response, OA Transport Services arranged for an alternative vehicle to transport the stranded passengers to Techiman. However, many passengers expressed dissatisfaction with the company's handling of the aftermath, citing a lack of communication and support regarding the possible loss of their belongings in the fire.
