GAUA UPSA pledges support for newly appointed Vice Chancellor

The Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) - University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) branch has pledged its unflinching support for Prof. John Kwaku Mensa Mawutor following his appointment as the next Vice-Chancellor of UPSA.

In a congratulatory message to Prof. Mawutor dated May 9, Samuel G. Seshie, President of GAUA-UPSA said “Your appointment is most significant as being the first Alumnus of UPSA to occupy such a high position.”

He added that Prof. Mawutor’s “indefatigable nature and impeccable working experiences at the administrative and academic position you handled at UPSA give us the confidence of your ability to improve the welfare of members, development and growth UPSA to the next level.”

GAUA promised to “pledge our unflinching support to you in your new role that you shall lead us diligently that we can all give off our best to enable you achieve the objectives of our great University.”

The Association looks forward to “a more harmonious working environment” under Prof. Mawutor’s leadership of UPSA.

Prof. Mawutor was, until his appointment, the Pro Vice-Chancellor at UPSA and was responsible for the day-to-day control and administration of academic affairs.

As Pro Vice-Chancellor, he has promoted the development, diversification and effective delivery of current and new programmes to address emerging national issues, supervised UPSA’s quality assurance initiatives, and streamlined academic processes to enhance efficiency and eliminate redundancies, a publication on UPSA’s website said.
