Media personality Bridget Otoo has slammed a staunch member of the ruling New Patriotic Party Gabby Otchere-Darko for preaching against the tagging of businesses with political parties.

Otchere-Darko, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a post on social media platform X, advocated for a future where businesses are not unfairly associated with political parties.

He stressed the importance of recognizing entrepreneurs as individuals striving for success and job creation, independent of their political connections.

However, Otoo took to Twitter to challenge Otchere-Darko's stance, citing an incident about a woman whose business allegedly collapsed due to suspicions of her affiliation with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In her tweet, Otoo recounted how the woman's entire stock was left unsold, purportedly because of her perceived political ties.

She further claimed that the government subsequently supported a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rival the woman's business by dealing in similar products.

Despite the woman's efforts to seek recourse, including reaching out to the vice president, Otoo claimed that the decision remained unchanged, leading to the collapse of her business.
