The Namibian High Commissioner to Ghana, Her Excellency Ashipala-Musavyi, emphasized the pivotal role of peace in Africa's development and intra-African tourism during a Two-Day Leadership Summit organized by the "David Douglas Leadership Forum" in collaboration with the Office of the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, President of the Ga Traditional Council.

Highlighting the significance of peace as a foundation for Africa's progress, she stressed the importance of fostering peace across all five sub-regions of the continent, especially considering the youth as the continent's future.

Her Excellency underscored the link between intra-African tourism and confidence-building among nations, noting its potential to showcase each country's unique offerings. She reiterated Namibia's commitment to preserving natural resources as integral to maintaining peace, as evidenced by its strict conservation policies.

Expressing optimism, the High Commissioner anticipated that the summit would serve as a platform to promote national initiatives for intra-African tourism, thereby contributing to the African vision of integration, prosperity, and peace.

Mr. David Douglas, the Founder of the David Douglas Leadership Forum, outlined the forum's objective of uniting diverse stakeholders to advance peace, investment, and tourism in Africa. He emphasized the forum's role in creating an inclusive environment aimed at inspiring individuals, communities, and nations towards a future marked by peace, security, prosperity, and sustainable development.

Douglas expressed hope that this year's summit would facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, identify investment opportunities, and explore the tourism potential for driving economic growth, job creation, and community development across Africa.
