May the blood of Jesus heal our land, cleanse us of our iniquities – Akufo-Addo's Easter message to Ghanaians

President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has on behalf of government wished Ghanaians a happy Easter celebration.

In a post shared on social media, the President prayed that on the occasion to remember the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, may his blood heal Ghana and cleanse the people of their iniquities.

“On behalf of my beautiful wife, Rebecca, my children and family and on behalf of government, I wish all Ghanaians a Happy Easter with the hope that the blood spilt on the cross will heal our land and cleanse us of our iniquities,” President Akufo-Addo said.

In the statement shared on Facebook, President Akufo-Addo admonished Ghanaians to drive carefully on the roads and keep the nation in their prayers at all times.

He said, “let us again enjoy our Easter conventions, parties, picnics, and the traditional Kwahu Easter Festivities.”

President Akufo-Addo also prayed for the celebration of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ to give birth to a new season of faith, hope, growth, prosperity, reconciliation, and sacrifice for everybody in the country and in the world.
