Former President and 2024 NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has wished Muslims peace and joy as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.

In a post on his Facebook page on Friday, March 22, Mahama conveyed his support and encouragement to Muslims observing the fasting period.

"As our Muslim brothers and sisters observe the holy month of Ramadan, I want to extend my support and encouragement to each of you," wrote Mahama.

He described Ramadan as a time of "deep reflection, prayer, and compassion."

The former President prayed that the fast of Muslims "will be filled with peace and spiritual growth."

This comes after the NDC leader visited some mosques and communities to offer his greetings and support to Muslims.

"I hope my visit will help ensure that everyone can partake in the blessings of Ramadan," he stated.

In his message of goodwill, Mahama expressed his desire for Ramadan to bring Muslims closer to their faith.

"May this holy month bring you closer to your faith and fill your hearts with peace and joy," Mahama emphasised.
