Reverend Eastwood Anaba, the leader of Eastwood Anaba Ministries, has claimed that many churches in Ghana without musical instruments would struggle to survive.

In a video circulated online, Rev Anaba observed that the modern-day church appears to derive its strength only from entertainment.

"If there is no drum, there is no organist, there is no guitarist and you take away all the music and the entertainment, many of our churches will die.

“I mean, you remove that, it will be like the oxygen support has been removed and that is because the entertainment in our churches, sometimes, I think is too much,” he said.

The outspoken minister argued that some churches focus too much on singing and dancing rather than spiritual worship or miracles.

Rev Anaba questioned how many pastors aim to cleanse lepers, raise the dead or heal cripples on Sundays rather than prioritizing entertainment.

He drew comparisons between churches and chop bars, saying the latter efficiently take orders because "the purpose there is eating."
