The No. 1 factor for deciding on the next Ruling Government/ Political Party

Feature Article The No. 1 factor for deciding on the next Ruling Government Political Party
SUN, 29 NOV 2020 LISTEN

I am terribly shocked to hear some people saying that corruption should not be the main factor for deciding on the next ruling government or political party.

In fact, I would like to state categorically without fear or favour that anyone, who thinks and says that corruption should not be the main factor for deciding on the next ruling government or political party, is not sensitive to the numerous Ghanaians who are wallowing in abject poverty, misery and slavery.

Ghana is one of the luckiest countries in the world, as far as human and natural resources are concerned, yet from time to time, Ghana becomes HIPC.

We become HIPC, not because of anything, but because of excessive looting of State funds. Some handful of Ghanaians just accumulate the State's funds, loot and share the funds to the detriment of the rest of Ghanaians.

If because of peace, we all just look on for a handful of Ghanaians to continue looting State funds excessively; there is no way we can have quality education in Ghana. There is no way we can build the needed infrastructures for the rapid development of Ghana.

If we all look on for a handful of Ghanaians to embark on excessive looting of State funds, there is no way the majority poor will be liberated from abject poverty, misery and slavery and the poor shall always be with us because of extreme selfishness.

Looking on for a few Ghanaians to embark on extreme looting of State funds, to the detriment of majority of Ghanaians, amounts to publicly endorsing injustice in Ghana.

How can we preach peace in a country where there is extreme injustice. Let us be mindful of the truth that preaching peace and refusing to talk about the extreme injustice( because of the fear of victimization or been killed) that we see, is nothing else but, extreme hypocrisy, and this cannot help us to have sustainable peace in Ghana.

In view of the devastating effects of excessive looting of the funds of the State, corruption should be the Number 1 factor for deciding on, Who becomes the next President of Ghana and which political party should be entrusted with the resources of Ghana in January 2021.

If we allow money and gifts to guide us in our decisions, instead of the truth, our sweat and toil, the taxes that we pay to the government for the improvement of the lives of all Ghanaians, will be in vain and many Ghanaians will be taken for fool and a ride.

So the critical question is, which political party can be trusted to lead Ghanaians to fight corruption and do away with extreme looting of the funds of the State?

Your answer to this question should help you to make an informed choice on December 7, 2020.

Long Live Ghana our Motherland.
