Following the mad rush to one of the newest radio stations in town, Kasoa to be precise, the CEO of Pink FM who doubles as the CEO of Pink Panther Hotel has started stretching his “long” hands to as it may seen poach some of the young and up coming radio presenters both in Accra and Kumasi.
One of the latest victims of this poaching expedition is Paa Kwesi Amo popularly known as P Kay of JEM 105.7FM in Kumasi. Rumors have it that P Kay is on the verge of joining Pink FM because of the exposure and the impact he wants to make in the capital.
Sources close to JEM 105.7FM disclosed that P Kay is not the only big name leaving the station as other big guns have started packing bad and luggage to Accra. The source went on to say that the CEO of JEM 105.7FM who is currently out the country is doing all that he can to retain his hardworking staff with promises.
It is rumored again that the presenters are said to have had enough of the “promise and fail” tactics of their boss and are more than ready to leave. The source added that some of the presenters will stay if only the promises to the presenters are fulfilled. All attempts to reach P Kay on phone to react to these rumors proved fruitless.
During his days at the University of Ghana; P Kay joins the Morning show crew at Life FM in Nkawkaw to have some rich experience in hosting morning shows every semester break. P Kay has seen it all when it comes to working with radio stations. Apart from the big names in Accra and Kumasi, P Kay have been with Golden Star FM in Swedru, Yes FM in Cape Coast, Eastern FM in Koforidua, among others
P Kay joined JEM FM at Lake Bosomtwe in Kumasi as the host of the "lakeside drive" aired from 3:30pm to 6pm each working day. Why are you not on live radio? Many of us here believe Pink FM is doing well and is an up and coming station. Some of your programs are very educative and need not be confined to Ghana only. Note that Several of your competitor radio stations are on live radio and this is serving a good perpose for them especially In London and other countries. Pink, you need to reach out! Think about going life without delay. Thanks and the very best to your staff.
