With the amount raised by Kapital Radio, Cynthia still needs an additional GH¢4,500 to enable her under-go the urgent operation at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra to correct the anomaly.

According to Mrs. Judith Agyeman, General Manager (GM) of the station, her outfit decided to come to the aid of the little girl by raising funds, following a request made to the station by the National Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and a subsequent passionate appeal by the parents of Cynthia.

She said Madam Patricia Appiagyei, the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Ultimate Fashions; African Origin Travel and Tours, Kessben Group of Companies and Lizmart Shopping Center are some of the entities that contributed various sums of money in the fund raising exercise.

Mrs. Agyeman disclosed that her outfit will today present the amount raised to the officials of the National Cardiothoracic Center at a brief ceremony to be held at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Conference Hall.

She indicated that the occasion will also be used to pay gratitude to the benevolent institutions and individuals for their philanthropic gestures and also present the current health situation of Cynthia to the public.

The General Manager noted that the fund raising exercise has not yet ended. She therefore called on the public to continue donating money towards the medical cost of Cynthia.
