The host of Okay FM's drive time show, Abeiku Santana, and Kofi Wayo last Friday donated items and an undisclosed amount of money to some aged women in the society.
The women, who, according to Abeiku Santana, have been forgotten in the society, were given the money each for their upkeep.
Aside the cash, each of the women took home a bag of rice and other items.
The women who were between 60 and 101 years shared their sorrowful stories at the presentation ceremony which was transmitted live on Okay FM.
Some of the aged women who benefitted from the donation came from the Eastern Region, Tema and other parts of the Greater Accra Region.
Kofi Wayo before the presentation had supported the donation with GH¢2,000. He again added GH¢2,000 after listening to the women who narrated their ordeal live on Okay FM.
It was a moment of tears for some of these aged women who thought they had no hope.
Abeiku Santana stated that the donation formed part of their corporate social responsibility.
