Bisa Kdei Gets 3 Nominations At AFRIMMA 2016

Highlife artiste Bisa Kdei has earned three nominations at the 2016 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

The 'Mansa' hit maker who was adjudged Highlife Artiste of The Year and Highlife Song of The Year at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards earned nominations in various categories which includes Song of the Year, Best Male West Africa and Video of the Year.

Sarkodie was nominated in the Best Male West Africa category and Kaywa is up for Music Producer of the Year.

According to the organisers, “The awards scheme is the sole award ceremony in the Diaspora that caters for all musical genres but not limited to Afrobeats, assiko, bongo, decale, funana, genge, highlife, hiplife, kwaito, lingala and soukous.”

The third edition of the event will be hosted by Nigerian comedian BasketMouth and reality TV star Cynthia Bailey. The event will take place on October 15, 2016 in the United States.

Also for the first time in the history of AFRIMMA, North African music and Caribbean music have been recognised with categories.
