Music producer and sound engineer David Kojo Kyei also known as Kaywa has corroborated Kwabena Kwabena’s claim that he advised Bisa Kdei to take his song ‘Mansa’ to Kaywa to better the production.

Kwabena Kwabena recently revealed in an interview that he was contacted by Bisa Kdei to feature on his hit song ‘Mansa’ but could not because the production at the time was awful and so he directed Bisa to Kaywa to better the production.

The highlife crooner, Kdei, registered his displeasure with the comment Kwabena Kwabena made concerning his hit song, 'Mansa'.

The 'Aso' singer, Kwabena Kwabena had said was not impressed with the sound quality of Bisa Kdei’s Mansa when he (Bisa) sent it to him to feature on.

Speaking on Adom FM's ‘Work and Happiness’ with Ohemaa Woyeje, Kdei disgruntled said the decision to give ‘Mansa’ to Kaywa to master was taken by his management.

However, speaking on Daybreak Hitz with KMJ, Kaywa revealed that the ‘Adult Music’ hitmaker contacted him asking whether Bisa had brought any song to him [Kaywa] to better because he [Kwabena Kwabena] had advised Bisa to bring the song to him to better the production.

“I was in church when Kwabena Kwabena called me personally and said, Bisa brought a song to him, I hope you’ve received it because I told him to bring it to you to make it better. When I heard it, it didn’t sound good to me and so for me to feature on it, it has to be good,” Kaywa said.

According to him, “I won’t dispute the fact that Bisa brought me a data. But what I did on the data file was to remove all the productions he has done. And because he’d already played the guitar on it, I decided to keep the guitar because they were working for the song. Then I produced the thing from scratch without adding the guitar plus the vocals he’d done in his studio already so that it fits what he has done.”

“I can tell you for sure that 90% of the production was done from scratch. If I wasn’t the one who produced the song, you’ll not hear my name, you’ll not hear highly spiritual,” he added

Kaywa also revealed that, “As Bisa brought the song, the next thing was that he said he contacted Mugeez already so he wants to rather put Mugeez on the song and we were all waiting to hear from Mugeez but it didn’t happen”.

Kaywa is known for works like ‘Adult Music’, ‘Slow Motion’ and Yenko Nkoaa amongst others.
