Award winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has represented Ghana at the African Youth Charter (AUC) – All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) Music/Culture conference in Banjul, Gambia.

The conference, which was held on May 25, 2016 focused on a theme ‘Using music, culture and entertainment as tools for a new Africa’ to commemorate the 10th African Youth Charter.

Also to look at how to involve African values and the spirit of Pan–Africans to collaborate in culture and music for sustainable development in line with African Union (AU).

The event was also to reveal the calendar for the 2016 All Africa Music Awards dubbed AFRIMA 3.0 among others.

The AUC-AFRIMA joint conference brought together music professionals, industry experts such as Stanley Enow (Cameroon), Ahmed Sultan (Morocco), Adekunle Gold (Nigeria) and AKA (South Africa).

Some prominent personalities who were also present included Mr. Mike Dada (President/Executive Producer, All Africa Music Awards) and Dr Sidiki Kaloko (Commissioner for Social Affairs, African Union Commission).

Stonebwoy was part of a discussion on the theme ‘Harnessing the Economic Power of Culture and Music in Africa: The role of stakeholders’.
