Happy FM Gears Up For 2016 Valentine Mass Wedding—Couples In Counselling

On February 14, 2016, the International Conference Centre will host over 30 couples in the annual Happy FM Valentine Mass Wedding.

The all-expense paid weddingorganised by Happy FM, the number one sports station in Ghana, is a community investment event seeks to help couples desirous of getting married by taking on the responsibility of organising the event and providing all the necessary resources needed.

The event has played an invaluable role of giving couples the peace of mind to concentrate on building a life after the wedding, while Happy FM takes on the heavy-lifting on their behalf. Indeed, the event has brought together close to 500 couples since its inception and will be celebrating its 11th edition this year.

According to the Head of Corporate Communications of Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company,the mother company of Happy FM, Mrs Naomi Nelson-Barnes, ‘For 10 years this event has brought together countless households andtouched thousands of lives by providing a solid foundation on which couples are unified and grow old together.

Over the years, we have done our bit not only to organise this event, but to also keep in touch with the couples and assist them whichever way we can. Indeed they have become like family to us, and we are truly proud of having been able to play such an important role in their lives.”

She continued that Happy FMas a people-centred media house will continue to positively affect the lives of Ghanaians through this event andother programmes in 2016 and the years to come.

The participating couples are currently undergoing weekly pre-marriage counselling with experienced marriage counsellors at the premises of Happy FM. This is part of intensive trainings that couples will be taken through before the marriage ceremony. Other important activities that will help the couples in their marriage life will also be organized to give them a full pre-marriage package which will help them prepare for their future.
