The comedy industry in Ghana is growing at an increasing rate and the Ghanaian Comedians are climbing big stages both national and international. The current comedians are doing great works to put Ghana out there and to prepare way for new talents.

However the future of the industry should supersede the present. That is why this young man, Standby Walahi comes to play.

Born David Gbekle, this young man is proving to be the next big Comedian in Ghana. I’m sure most of you have watched his trending videos either on Facebook and Youtube. A real classic and for this reason I stand to say he is the future of GH comedy.

Standby Walahi as he is popularly known or #Believe is a real talent which cannot be undermined. His style of comedy is far different from the normal terrain of but at the end, the results are the same.

The fast growing comedian doesn’t put on a smiling face when he is up to task but end up making viewers laughing.

He started this journey all by himself with a little assistance from a friend. All he needed at the time is a mobile phone with which his friend uses to make the video coverage, some cutlers such as knives, spoons and forks for his notifications. He carefully selects imminent issues affecting the economy including corrupt practices and addresses them accordingly.

Today, as the saying goes, a good work speaks for itself, #Believe has won the admiration of many and the media.

Standby Walahi speaking to Frederick Noamesi , remarked that he is still managing himself and expressed readiness to accept any manager who is serious to work with him to boost the movie industry as well.

He highlighted on storming Shatta Wale’s show at the Shatter beach on the same day the country’s prestigious award ceremony VGMA was ongoing.
