Entertainment Stakeholders Call On Government To Rescue Residents In Agorde

Mr Ahmed Bandah (Bandex), the Welfare Committee Chairman of GHAMRO, Kojo Preko Dankwa the host of E-Voice and Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.3 fm together with Castro's manager DJ Amess on ATV’s “Anigyekrom” show preached an advocacy which aims to scale up effective nutrition interventions and also promote a political environment that is favourable to improving the living conditions of the residents in Agorde in the Akatsi constituency in the volta region.

The three men who double as radio/TV pundits expressed worry on Sokoo Hemaa's "Anigyekrom" show after watching ATV's award winning documentary "Life In Agorde" and said they will not rest until government risk reduction measures and also provide an environment that is favourable to improving the living conditions of the people of Agorde.

In Kojo Preko's perspective on ATV, he expressed much worry and jabbed the MP and DCE of the area saying it is inhuman to watch the people of Agorde suffer in such a condition under the watch of these leanerd individuals who happen to hail from the area. He called on government to put down a risk reduction measure to ensure a better living condition for residents of Agorde.

DJ Amess and Bandex on the other hand who sounded furious on the show noted that government need to provide some educational infrastructure for the people as soon as possible to help the kids have a sound and good environment for their education.

The ATV award winning TV documentary which sparked this advocacy reveals how residents in Agorde in the Volta region survive under very terrible and precarious conditions. The community lacks facilities such as clinic, motorable roads among other social amenities.
