All Set For The Maiden Edition Of The Northern Music Awards 2015

All is set for the maiden edition of the Northern Music Awards on 1st August 2015 at the Radach Memorial Lodge in the Northern Regional capital, Tamale.

The award ceremony is to motivate and recognize musicians in the northern region and help them grow nationally.

The ceremony put together by Northern Vision Events will see the ultimate winner taking home GHȼ 2000.00 and other winners will take GHȼ 400.00. The scheme will award 11categories for the start and will add more in the subsequent ones.

It is the conviction of Northern Vision Events that the showbiz in the North can grow to the level all Ghanaians and Northerners expect it to be, only if every stakeholder in the industry supports the initiative.

The Northern Music Awards was warmed up by a nominee jam at the Discovery Hotel which stood up entertainment fans with outstanding performances from nominees.

Gracing the occasion will be the National President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bise Osei Kuffour, Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru-Limuna and the Chief of Tamale, Dakpema Naa Mohammed Dawuni.

There will be spectacular performances from Northern Icon, Sherifatu Gunu and some Tamale based musicians including Fancy Gadam, Ataaka De Rap John Cena, Kawastone etc.

The Northern Music Awards will kick start with a red carpet show which will later be broadcast on ATV.

Speaking on North Star FM Super Morning Show with Abubakari Sadiq, the Chairman of the organizing committee, Shaharan Suhuyini disclosed that all is set for the ceremony on August 1.

Adding all the necessary arrangements and security including sound and lighting have been taking care of.

About 21 Musicians and Sound Engineers have been nominated for the maiden edition of the Northern Music Awards ceremony.
