Reliable information reaching the front desk of www.ghlinks.net indicates that an Accra-Osu based radio station X FM 95.1 , one of Ghana’s radio’s longest running brands has been taken over by TV3 Network in a deal said to be worth almost two million dollars.

X FM which was owned by Mr. Herbert Mensah made plans to sell off the radio station earlier in 2009 after it failed to take off as a competitor to other English speaking stations and lost almost top-notch presenters such as Jon Germain , Eddie Blay , Baby Gee and a host of others.

Currently staff members of the Osu based station including Nana Mensah , CD Thompson , Kwaku David , Joni Blaze , Mster Pep have since been informed of the new arrangement and have been laid off as a result of the stations sale.

www.ghlinks.net is yet to receive information if the workers will receive a severance package or not.
