CNN African Voices Show profiles Lady May for its May edition

Selected to co-host the annual Namibian Music Awards 2015 with fellow artiste, Gazza (Ondjila album owner); Namibia’s BBA ‘StarGame’ rep, Lady May was visited at her Namibia-resident by the African Voices/Voices of Africa show team on CNN on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 8am, Eastern Time.

Although the profiling interview will be broadcasted next month, May, 2015; the Crazy May in an Instagram update wrote,

“Today CNN came to my home at 8:00 in the morning.... We started filming at exactly 8:30 in the morning and we only finished NOW (Time: 20h11). Location: Somewhere in Africa *The world will know who Crazy Lady May is, mark my words*”

Detailing her discussion with the CNN African Voices/Voices of Africa Show team to AmaLarbieAfrica; Lady May indicated, “when the CNN team visited me in my country (Namibia), the discussion was centred on my career; my style of music, which is a mixture of Oshiwambo traditional music and western pop; and my record label, Crazy Lady May Records-'Movement' #CLM-R.”

Adding, “and also, my participation as a representative for my country, Namibia in the 2012 Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality show themed, 'StarGame'.”

She further noted that the about 30-minutes interview will be aired next month, May 2015 on the African Voices/Voices of Africa' Show on CNN; “probably because I am the Lady of May, but the team is yet to give me the exact dates the interview will be broadcasted.”

“I will like to thank the CNN team for the honourable intended visit and also, thank everyone who has in a way or the other contributed to this honour and shown me love,” the ‘Come & Get Me’ singer added.

African Voices is a TV Show on the Cable News Network (CNN) that highlights Africa's most engaging personalities, exploring the lives and passions of people who rarely open themselves up to the camera. Commenting on her pick as the co-host of the 2015 Namibian Music Awards with Gazza; the Crazy May said, “I am wholeheartedly grateful and very happy that MTC Namibia and the 'Namibian Music Awards' (NAMAs) team has selected me to host this year’s 2015 NAMA awards. I feel so blessed that they had faith and trust in me to have selected me to be part of such an amazing event."

Gazza and Lady May in the history of the awards scheme will become Namibia’s first artistes to co-host the main event, #NAMA2015 scheduled for May 1 and 2nd, 2015.

Born Martha Namundjebo, Lady May, who is known for Oshiwambo music style which is also used specifically for the Kwanyama and Ndonga dialects spoken particularly by the Owambo people; has 6 recorded albums including ‘Kamaali’ (2005), ‘Come & Get Me’ (2006), ‘Pink Chocolate' (2009), ‘Tiger Ambitions’ (2010) and ‘I AM: African Goddess’ (2011 under the management of South Africa’s Big Ear Records).

However, her latest album titled, 'Crazy Desires' is out now and it is globally distributed by FALUMA, a Germany/Berlin-based distribution company (buy from www.faluma.com) and also available on iTunes, Amazon, Junodownload and Spotify.

She has worked with industry gurus as DJ Kboz, The late Bojo Mujo (SA), Faluma (Germany), M-Poser (SA), Berthold Mbinda , a few to mention.

Meanwhile, Lady May has collaborated with Ghanaian award-wining artiste/songwriter, Akwaboah on ‘Let’s talk about love’, which will be released in the latter part of the year.
