Nicki Minaj sparks rumors she's engaged to Meek Mill

Could Nicki Minaj be engaged? That's the question the rapper raised with two enticingly cryptic social media posts this week.

Late Tuesday, Minaj, 32, posted an Instagram photo of herself and Meek Mill, a 27-year-old hip hop artist, posing in Miami. The image features Minaj wearing a piece of jewelry on that finger that some have interpreted as an engagement ring.

Minaj simply captioned the photo "Those Miami nights."

Although a rep for Minaj didn't immediately respond to a request for comment (and a rep for Mill could not be reached), and Minaj often wears oversized rings in concert and elsewhere, the engagement rumors only intensified on Wednesday when Minaj Tweeted three emojis – a diamond ring, a heart and a diamond – along with the text "I'll post it later."

And when a follower Tweeted at Mill calling him "lucky," Mill retweeted the comment , adding "I am!"

Late on Wednesday Minaj added fuel to the fire when she made good on her earlier promise and shared a close-up pic of her huge, new ring.

Rumors about the pair's relationship have been swirling since February. In a Vogue interview , however, Minaj shied away from saying the two were dating.

"People think for some strange reason that we just started becoming friends recently," she told the magazine. "We've been friends for a very, very long time, and he's been around for a lot of things that I've gone through. And that's all I'll say about that."

Minaj was less coy in late March when she shared photos of herself, clad in black lingerie, posing intimately with Meek .
