The Prophet Daniel Asamoah-Larbi, president of Worldwide Council of Prophetic Alliance [WWCPA] has sent a word of advice to charter house – the organizer of the 15th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards [VGMA] concerning the performance of the music band Dark Suburb.

According to The Prophet Asamoah-Larbi whose field of expertise is very extensive in the spiritual realm, the act represented by Dark Suburb is likened to necromancy and alchemy – the supposed practice of communicating with the dead and a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation or combination respectively.

Quoting from the band’s website [darksuburb.com], the group is described as “an alternative band in the seen and unseen; the living and the dead”.

“What actually do you think Dark Suburb represents? Isn’t it a dark old magic or sorcery? The Prophet asked rhetorically.

The site further explains the band has been invoked by a priest disenchanted with the current state of the music industry.

“So he travels to the underworld to recruit the best singer, drummer, guitarist and pianist to form a great band for the ages. But alas! Before the band can make a transition, to the land of the living, they must be accepted by the living. The more they are loved, the more they will be revealed” says the website.

The outspoken man of God who lauded Charter House for championing another edition of the Ghana Music Awards but was also swift in expressing his disapproval regarding what he called “The Embracing of Dark Sorcery” into the music industry and asked the event organizer and other future organizers of the VGMA and other entertainment events to step up their game and make certain considerations before associating events to acts of the underworld.

The Prophet Asamoah-Larbi educated and charged music lovers about the history and power of rock music and its dark-hidden secrets which he believes when joked with will send the son of man to eternal destruction.

“When something is perilous, it is obviously a threat and needs to be chucked out” he advised.
