Nominees for 2015 Ghana Music Awards to be revealed Friday

The list of nominees for the 2015 edition of the Ghana Music Awards is set to be released this Friday, February 27.

The nominees for the awards, dubbed 'Ignited By Passion', will be revealed at an event at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

The event, according to organizers, will also preview what to expect at this year's awards, which will be the sixteenth.

The main event is expected to witness a tall list of A-List guests who will comprise of the crème de la crème in the entertainment industry - artistes and hundred fans of VGMA selected from various VGMA social media activation.

A statement issued in Accra by Charter House, organizers of the event, said there have been some major changes to the categories of this year's awards.

“This year's event has seen some major changes already, the inclusion of a Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year and the re-definition of the New Artiste of the year as well as Music Video Directing categories.”

They said the changes have been made based on a general review of the awards scheme consistent with objective of renewing the every year, taking cognizance of the stay with current trends.
