'Thank God For Idiot' @ National Theatre On Monday

GLOBE PRODUCTIONS will on September 22 -28 present a satirical stage drama dubbed 'Thank God for Idiots' at the National Theatre in Accra.

The thrilling and must-watch hilarious stage play is by Globe Productions,

in partnership with Graphic Showbiz and National Theatre, and supported by Alomo Bitters.

Global Productions was responsible for critically acclaimed 'Romantic Non-sense','You May Kiss the Corpse' and also produced the 'Gallery of Comedies', one

of the greatest comedies ever produced in Ghana.
In a statement issued and signed by Latif Abubakar, writer and producer of the play and copied to BEATWAVES, Latif Abubakar said, 'These days, quality entertainment, apart from the usual musical concerts, seems to be rare, and that, the play is welcoming news when other forms of entertainment are offered.'

The play projects the life of a young couple who are living extravagantly because the man has inherited his late brother's property, but despite all they have, the marriage is on the rocks.

'Expressing their emotions towards each other is one big problem. One midnight, in the midst of a very heated argument, they had a visitor. Who is this visitor, is it the ghost of his late brother? What is the purpose of the visit at that ungodly hour?

Will this visit be good or bad news to the couple?' he added.

The play is Latif Abubakar's fifth foray into the field of stage drama. He wrote 'Romantic Nonsense', 'You May Kiss the Corpse' and the critically-acclaimed 'Gallery of Comedies' and 'The Second Coming of Nkrumah',one of the greatest hilarious

and historic plays ever produced in Ghana.
