In the conquest of calling a spade a spade, Ekow Micah cannot be sidelined amongst the few who are coupled with immense courage. Aside bombarding some personalities associated with the Music Industry with the likes of Musiga President - Obour, Aboagye Dacosta and Hi-life legend Nana Kwame Ampadu, he has made another comment, one that he seemingly believes most gospel musicians can not be exempted.

Mr. Micah is strongly of the view that gospel musicians in the country are dead in spirit because they do not know what gospel music is all about.

According to him, they fall short of good vision and they are unable to tell the exact meaning of the gospel.

The word gospel as he explained denotes clearly the good news which is all about Jesus Christ as well as the word of God, but for him, gospel musicians script songs which are in no line with the good news.

Contributing to the entertainment show of Pink Fm (2 Degrees), he revealed that most of the songs scripted by more than half of gospel musicians in the country are songs which are either talking about acquisition of wealth or receiving God's blessings, thus the songs lack the good news, the word of God which teaches about how to lead a good life in attaining eternal salvation.

The president of the Music Council of Ghana also lamented bitterly about the dress codes of some of these so called gospel musicians.

In his view, they are no different from pastors preaching the word of God and that they must dress well anytime they come into the public eye and also in their private life.

“They forget they are empty vessels being used by God in preaching His word. These musicians are only after money and they don not care as to how they get it. It can clearly be seen in their way of dressing, from their clothes to their type of shoes and the wigs they put on their head”.

Ekow, also a musician, forewarned that if these gospel musicians do not turn away from their notion of scripting misleading words in making money, all in the name of being addressed a gospel musician; they will find themselves in hell whilst sinners stuck in the dark will receive eternal salvation.
