Season one of the series, Poisoned Bait wrapped in Accra a week ago and, although no release date has been announced, excitement for the series is mounting.
Sporting a slew of talent from Ghana and Nigeria, Poisoned Bait revolves around Ariel Morrisson, a literary manager whose ex- arrives into Ghana from Egypt on the day of her wedding sending her once peaceful life out of control.
The piece which has feminism written all over it has a subplot which surrounds Betty Mensah, Ariel's best friend and client played by Mary Remmy Njoku whose feminist book, the Adoration of the African woman, sends her own marriage into a catastrophe.
The series will air exclusively on IrokoTV and is directed by BAFTA winning director Leila Djansi.
It starts Ama K Abebrese, Gideon Okeke, John Dumelo, Naa Ashorkor Mensah Doku, Maame Dokuno, Bex, Adjetey Annang, Edward Kuffour, David Dontoh, Luckie Lawson and a host of others.
