Ghanaian owned fashion company, Krobia Services,producers of Kabacalenders have unveiled yet another fashion magazine that seek to whip the interest of Ghanaian tastes in made in Ghana wax prints and styles.

The magazine, which has in it beautiful designs of African wax prints and elegant wears indemnify the local industry from the influx of imported second-handwears which is gradually crippling the local industry.

The special guest speaker, Ms. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, after a display of catwalks in the home-made designs urged Ghanaians to have confidence and interest in locally manufactured products in the country.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Minister urged before the gathering of seasoned fashion designers who came to support their colleague to build their capacity and come out with new and modern trends that will entice the peoples taste and preference in made in Ghana wear.

She said this under the theme, “patronize made in Ghana wear” at the launching ceremony of an exclusively 100% African wear magazine held at Accra Rawlings Park.

The Head of Marketing of Krobia Services, AduKwakye noted that for some decades now, Ghanaians have jilted what we normally called African Wear and have embraced second-hand clothing (Obroniwa'wu) imported from the foreign countries.

Against this backdrop, he said that Krobia Services publisher of Kaba posters (usually called Kabacalenders) have come out with new styles of beauty and confidence African wear that would entice majorityof Ghanaians to practice domestication.

“It's time Ghanaians have to cherish what made them Ghanaians. We are Africans! Let's wear our own designs,” he urged Ghanaians.
