Okyeame Kwame, aka Rap Doctor, last Saturday organised an educational campaign and a free screening exercise on Hepatitis for more than 500 people at Mantse Agbona, James Town, in Accra.

He disclosed in an interview that the primary focus of the Okyeame Kwame Foundation (OKF) is to raise awareness and intensify education on Hepatitis B; a viral infection which infects the liver and causes an inflammation.

In a statement, Okyeame Kwame expressed his profound gratitude to MTN Ghana Foundation, other organisations for their support and for the many youth who turned out massively for the health screening exercise.

He took the opportunity to advise everybody, especially the youth, to take Hepatitis B screening very seriously because the disease itself is curable.

The President of the Theobald Hepatitis B Foundation, a foundation which is dedicated to fighting Hepatitis B, Mr Theobald Owusu-Ansah, also called on the government to support the fight against Hepatitis B.

The 'Fight and Drive Hepatitis B Out Of The Country Project' is being backed by Japan Motors, Kells Consult, Juben, Firm Bridges Communications, Edible Ice, Bella Roma, Wear Ghana, Ahead Media, DAILY GUIDE, The Spectator, Flex Newspaper, Business and Financial Times, Ghanaweb, Ghanagist, Enewsgh, Y FM, Citi FM, Radio Gold, Live FM, Viasat 1, Lynx TV and GH One.
