Sensational dancehall act, MzVee's status as the new act to watch for the future was confirmed over the weekend at the VGMA Industry awards, when she was voted the Unsung Artiste of the year. She came up ahead of fellow rising stars in the category.
The sexy dancehall act's rise to popular acclaim has been swift, following the release of her first single, “Borkor Borkor in January. Her second major single, “Natural Girl” featuring Stonebwoy is already receiving massive airplay and is fast becoming the toast of the growing dancehall movement in Ghana.
In a move to thank her fans for their support and votes; MzVee posted on her twitter page “Thanx to everyone for voting…We did it. I'm gonna be on the VGMA stage. On my way to the studio to record a song to thank all my fans.”
Apparently she truly hit the studio around 1am straight from the awards show and has cooked up what she is referring to as “a very special thank you song” to all her fans.
The mid-tempo dancehall jam is titled “Re-Vee-lation” and may perhaps be her most daring and exciting work yet.
