Afua's Diary: A Pixelex Aspects Love Story Opens In The UK This Summer

Pixelex Aspects Ltd announces the release of their debut feature film Afua's Diary. Set in London, Afua's Diary is inspired by the true story of Alan Freeman who's previous marriage came to an abrupt end when his ex wife divorced him after receiving a permanent right to stay in the UK. The film follows the life of Alan; a broken man, as he falls in love with Afua; who coincidentally, is on the verge of being deported back to Ghana, after her student visa runs out.

Destiny it seems, keeps crossing Alan (Fabio Abrahams) and Afua's (Cleopatra Wood) path, bringing two lost souls together - but with Afua's time in the UK running out, and knowing about Alan's past; she has to decide whether she loves Alan enough to stay in the country illegally and hope her situation changes or go back home to her alcoholic father (Kweku Sintim-Misa).

This film is a real labour of love for both the director; Benard Owusu and script writer and producer Bibi Owusu Shadbolt, both coming from a community that recognises the plight of both lead characters.

As new comers to the film industry, Bernard and Bibi have put their souls into making this film, Bernard who retired from the army after sustaining an injury decided to indulge his creative skills, joining forces with English Literature graduate and creative writing teacher Bibi, have created a beautifully relatable story, that will tug at the heart strings of every viewer.
