Organizers of the annual Big Brother Africa reality show, Africa Magic and Endemol have announced that auditions for housemates to represent Ghana for this season will take place from Saturday March 16 to Monday March 18.
The auditions, the organizers said in a statement will be at the Holiday Inn Hotel Accra.
Applications for this year's show ended on February 14 but organizers said, although nominations have ended, “There is still an opportunity to enter through the open auditions on the same dates, venue and time.”
The open auditions, the statement added, will allow individuals that were unable to enter before entries closed one last chance to impress the selection team.
“All you are required to do is fill in the entry form which is currently available at your nearest MultiChoice office, then make your way to the audition venue where a production team member will assist you,” organizers said.
Africa Magic and Endemol stated that they are looking for persons who are fluent in English, entertaining, open-minded, adventurous, bold and passionate about the Big Brother experience. “Importantly the selection team is looking for qualities of tolerance, determination and enthusiasm.”
Housemates for the eighth season of the reality show will be revealed to audiences in 47 countries across Africa on May 26 and they will go on to compete in the 91-day reality show for the grand prize of US$300,000.
